How the Trust Score Is Calculated
Equip’s proctoring is powered by AutoProctor, and the Trust Score is computed automatically from the events recorded during the attempt. Violations detected by the active proctoring measures lower the score; a clean session keeps it high. The signals that can generate violations depend on which proctoring settings are enabled for each test. Typical examples include:Candidates see exactly which proctoring measures are active before they start, and they consent to the proctoring report being shared with you. Measures you have disabled do not generate violations, so they cannot affect the score.
Reading the Score
A higher score means fewer and less serious violations were recorded. Use the score to triage candidates, not as a final verdict on its own.Acting on Low Scores
When a score falls below your comfort threshold, the candidate report gives you everything needed to make a fair call.1
Open the candidate's report
From the Results page, open the candidate. The report has three tabs: Test Summary, Proctoring, and Session Recording.
2
Review the Proctoring tab
This tab lists every violation with a timestamp and its evidence: candidate photos, switched-tab screenshots, and audio flags. Check whether the events look deliberate or incidental.
3
Watch the Session Recording
If session recording was enabled, play back the candidate’s screen and actions to see exactly what happened. Playback controls let you speed up and skip inactive sections.
4
Decide with full context
Weigh the evidence against the candidate’s test performance. If the violations are benign, proceed as normal; if they clearly show unfair behavior, you can reject the candidate with confidence.
